    Technically, unless you give up your U.S. citizenship, going to Mexico and buying a Habano is still illegal.

    It's legal for Americans to smoke a Habano only if no money changes hands.

    Basically, our Cuban embargo works a lot like prostitution. It's legal if its free, illegal if you pay for it.

    Unfortunately, that is not correct. Even a gratuitous Cuban cigar is illegal for a US citizen to posses anywhere on earth.
