If its a cedar humi, sand it with medium grit all purpose paper and then wipe it,season it,and it should be fine.May want to wipe it with cigargirls' remedy.....everclear,if it still dont work, have some to drink.

Sand the inside-smell like new in a jiffy.
In spite of all evidence to the contrary, the entire universe is composed of only two basic substances: Magic and bullshit.

My guess is that the amount of time the burned stick was in there is not enough to overcome the cedar if you sand off the surface of it a little. It is a common practice to hit cedar chests and cedar closets with sandpaper to bring out the scent after it has weakened over time. I can't imagine that the cigar's odor would penetrate deeply enough just overnight to ruin an entire cedar panel.

"A cigar provides a man the opportunity to manipulate fire and smoke. These devastating elements of nature that can ravage forests and snuff out life are conquered and dominated by the lightest adjustment of the lips and the breath. Such awesome potential for destruction manipulated in peaceful contemplation reminds a man that he is, regardless of what others have said about him, a man." - Wigglesworth

I tried the baking soda first. Some progress as the smoke odor was gone but it had a weak stagnant smell (maybe a little like milk smell).

Sanding made it much better but still a little stagnant. I have wiped it down with distilled water and am in the process of seasoning it again. I think it will be ok but it doesn't have that good cedar smell back yet.

    Hopeful though!

    Thanks
