Well, I feel sympathy for him since he lost his son in such a horrible way. And he is free to say whatever he wants. But his loss does not make him immune from criticism. He's free to say what he wants but others are free to comment on his statements and positions. I wouldn't call him an asshat, but I would say is his making political hay from his sons death just like Cindy Shee-me-make-hay-of-my-sons-death-han.

I didn't say he was above criticism. I did say to criticise on his points, without including the beheading of his son. And I would be pretty sure that he would be more than happy to dwell in obscurity with his son.

The only reason I brought his son into it is because Zarqawi is the suspected man that beheaded his son. He said it was sad that Zarqawi had died and Zarqawi's parent's had to go through what he went through. How could ANYONE feel sorry for the man suspected of killing your son?

I don't feel sorry for him because he was obviously doing something stupid. I know lots of people with construction jobs over there but they somehow don't end up hanging out with people who want to cut their heads off. With the amount of security every contractor requires over there, I'm sure he wandered off or was doing something he wasn't supposed to. Usually this is called a Darwin award.
