    Hello everyone.
A little intro...I quit cigarettes 4 years ago. Experimented with cigars 2 years ago when my doctor gave me 30 days off from work due to stress! Fell in love with maduros and just like you guys I found my new hobby....Cigars! After reading some threads you guys throw names around that I've never heard of yet. Right now I enjoy smoking Partagas Black Label, La Gloria Cubana, and Arturo Fuente 8-5-8's. Inexpensive for my hobby and probably so-so for you guys. Even though, I've learned we all have different tastes, we all have one thing in common....we enjoy our smokes! The kids finally went to bed at 10 o'clock. I went outside and lit up a La Gloria Cubano Series R Maduro with a glass of Maker's Mark Bourbon. I sat out back for two hours and smoked that baby untill my fingers were burning! My head was somewhere in Aruba! I can't think of a better way to end an evening on a beautiful night. I'm also glad to be part of a special group of people that share the same interest as me!

Welcome to the board flaco. Glad to read you enjoy your smokes, and you're right, a lot of names and things you've never heard of, but so what, buckle up and enjoy the ride because you if you stick around, you'll see there are loads of guys around here with tons of knowledge and even more generosity.

Like you said, everybody has their tastes and this is one of the best ways to find out the favorite cigar you never had.

BTW, you should stop by our herf (cigar smoker get together) in July, check out the thread here:

    Default Belated thanks!

Hey....thanks for the great welcome....were you being gentle or were you guys afraid I would go back to my doctor for 30 more days off from work! I'm waitin' for a back order of my favorite Partagas Black Label and I have plenty of Bourbon......(sorry Jharri31....no scotch...although I like the lighter!) Actually, I'd have no problem retiring from work after this vacation! I laid in my pool all day (no kids!), fired up a Fuente 8-5-8 maduro...had a Sam Adams..or 2...or 3....anyway thanks again for the welcome and I'm glad to be along for the ride!

Sounds eerily familiar (except it's usually a good Anejo Tequila or a glass of Craggenmore 12 yr old scotch)...

Love those La Gloria Cubano Series R Maduro's, though!!!

    Welcome!!!

Oh, man - don't do that unless you're in dire need of meeting others that will spoil your simple tastes...
