Music Contest

I have an idea for a new contest that might be fun and want to know what you think.

Here is how I think of doing it.

I will provide 5-10 links each week that are pieces of music from a song. Here is a sample

The future ones will not be so easy for most part

The idea is people guess the name of the song, the performer and in certain cases the composer of the music ( could have been composed by someone other than the performer )

each correct answer is one point. so in this particular case if you said Van Halen --Jump you get 2 points. The winner is the person who gets most points at the end of the week. you PM me the answers and I update the survey link each day only with the people participating and the number of points they got. This way each person has to work on their own figuring out the music and people can guess as many times as they want as I will PM back saying what you got right and what you got wrong.

Here are a couple of concerns:

1) We can have ties
2) I don't have enough of the supply of sticks to send them to winners every week.

If you think the contest is fun overall please let me know your thoughts and how we can deal with the issues I mentioned.

So no -one is interested

How about if I provide the winner with the smokes but they will be of the low priced kind: Roly's JR alternatives, etc other stuff up to $3 a stick say 4-5 of them

And let's say the monthly winner also calculated by the number of points gets a nice extra stick or 2: $10-15 range

Sounds fun, but it also sounds like ALOT of work on your part. Your going to have to be checking this thread every day and you will probably fill up your PM box pretty fast.
