Well, I'll contribute a bit to this thread by saying the Stogie Review has posted a review (with pictures) of the Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve (Corojo Toro):

I know what you mean. I try to make a conscious effort not to spam the site outside of my sig. I was just trying to bring the topic back to its original discussion.

The end wrapper can be smoked.
It is a homogenized wrapper normally used on machine made cigars.
From what I hear,it doesn't change the flavor either way.The two I smoked, one on,one off,one corojo, one maduro,I didnt notice flavor problems. It is difficult to remove that wrapper too,so rather ruining the first 1/3 of the stick,it is suggested to leave it on.
The maduro's are beautiful and sweet!

Interesting...I didn't try smoking with one on and the five I smoked slid off pretty effortlessly. The other folks I know who have smoked these either love them or hate them and nothing inbetween. Guess I will have to give it a shot with it on...

I thought the vengance were a fucking nasty cigar IMHO. I met RP during the boom he is a used car salesman in my opinion. Nestor rolls most of his shit anyway and he aint much of a cigar blender to write home about. RP might impress relatively new cigar smokers but I been smoking since 88 or so and his products aint shit to me.

Well I consulted with the guys at the Dog Watch Social Club podcast who attended RTDA and they spoke with Nish & Nimish Patel. Nish & Nimish Patel confirmed what you said about the wrapper being a homogenized wrapper and you can technically smoke it, but the preferred method is to remove the label since it is for decorative features only and possibly affect the taste of the stogie.
