Default CAO cigars, what do you think?

OK I have found I really like the Criollo line and the Brazilias. The Italias are ok but have a hint of saltiness that I find kind of weird.

But I tried my first Extremes last week and was very unimpressed. Flat, boring and flavorless.

And about a year ago, I tried a few MX2's and they also had very little flavor, were hard to keep lit and burned like shit.

We're having a CAO event today, and there's going to be a pack of mixed CAO's. I'm going to try the Golds, having never tried them, I will try one more MX2 to see if the three I had were duds. But not gonna try the Extreme again, I guess I'll just save them for buddy sticks.

    Disclaimer - Newbie opinions!!

I love the Criollo and Brazilia (especially the GOL, MMMMMMMMM). The Gold I like. Extreme or Italia I've never had. I love the Anniversaire Maduros. I had one MX2 and I have to say it's possibly the worst smoke I've ever had. I don't like to judge anything by smoking one, but I'd never pay that price again for something I considered droppings from a Black Lab.

I like Brazilia and Italia as well as Gold and Cameroon. Criollo was nothing special maybe I had a dud.

Brazilia MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I like these the best. The Italia is a close second. I tried the criolla (spelling) last week and it was ok.
Family, Friends and a good cigar. Oh and some fishing too!

I like the Brazilia, the Italia, though a 5 Vegas tastes just like the Italia in my opinion, and the Cameroon. I cannot figure out how the Gold got a high rating cuz it was nothing special. I really really like the Black lables and the maduro was pretty good. I really dislike the CX2 and the MX2. Possibly the two least flavorfull, over priced cigars that I ever tired to finish or get my money's worth from.

IMHO, Cao's are over-hyped, slick, mediocre cigars. The last one I smoked, a Brazilia that was out of a low rh humi, as someone above suggested, was a pos dog rocket. I won't buy them. I might smoke a criollo in a pinch.

Well I had only smoked the Gol in the Italia line until yesterday, which I really liked. I pulled out a huge Italia from my the promotional bag I got at the CAO event, at least 5-6" and 60-62 ring gauge.

I tried it and it sucked sour frog ass. Didn't have the great taste i get from the Gol, and worse, the wrapper started to crack after the mid-point while smoking. It then burst so I just pulled the wrapper off and kept smoking. That's when I detected a hint of sour frog ass, so I put it out.

Guess the Gol is for me, and the big fat sour-frog-ass cigar is not for me. Personally I hate it when the wrapper cracks and bursts.
