    Default My confession

Help me BigPoppaPuff for I have sinned

I had a few beers with my friend who knowing that I love cigars brought 2 with him so we can light those babies up. Unfortunatelly they were rolled up No# 10 unvelopes or better known by their nickname -- Macanoodos

Rather than dissapointing my friend I graciously accepted his gift and pretended that I have enjoyed the cigar.

What should I do to be forgiven for such a horribe sin

You are a great friend indeed. I had similar situation in which a friend brought me back an "ISOM" RyJ from a cruise. I'm not a seasoned pro, but I could tell by the lack of quality on the band that it wasn't authentic. I gave him the excuse that it was looking a little dry(which it was) and that it should go in the humi for awhile and we would smoke it on a special occasion. I instead took out a couple of A.F. Hemingway Sig's and we lit those up instead. He was amazed at how good they were and so far has not mentioned the "ISOM". I still have it by the way.

So, next time he brings some Mac's, use my excuse and introduce him to a real cigar.

That's funny. My wife was watching TV today while I was doing some stuff around the house. She casually asked me what kind of cigars I liked, and if she were to get me a gift, what should she look for.

I said, "Remember one name: Macanudo."

    She said, "Okay. Macanudo."

I said, "Never buy me one."

    She said, "Oh. OK."

After a loooong weekend of working on the new house this thread is great!

You sir are a GREAT friend. I had to do the same before. Just be sure to immediately follow it up with something in a similar price range and make sure they like it better to be sure you friend doesn't do you a BIG favor by buying you a BOX of macanoodles.

Met the same guy for drinks again today. This time I brought the cigars. I asked if he wanted to try something a little more flavorfull so I got us Onyx Reserve Mini Belicosos.

Half way through his stick he told me it is def good but some strong shit. After 2 beers and by the time he got to the band he could barelly walk straight.

He was not dissoriented or drunk in any other way just extremely light headed so I guess the cigar did him in. Oh yeah we had so much food before the drinks and cigars that I still feel like a whale.

Any idea what cigar should I start him with next time ( by the way Onyx was one the first real smokes that got me hooked on cigars ) . Or should I just say fuck it and not have a next time
