    Default Summer smoking

Well, here in Southern California it has been pretty hot lately. Not this last week, but a couple of weeks ago it was 110+ every day.

Ive found that Im not smoking as much, or feeling like I even want to smoke and I was wondering if it were the heat making me not want to smoke.

As I was on vacation at the beach, I had a smoke every day I was there. I wanted to have a smoke every day and the weather there was alot cooler, maybe 78 degrees tops.

    Anyone else have this "problem?"

I'm with you on that. When it gets hot as a dog turd I tend not to want to smoke, or drink beer. I don't know why maybe it has something to do with not being comfortable.
    End of line.

This year has been brutally hot in Denver. Since most of my smoking is relegated to the outdoors, it's hard to want to sit out in 90-100 degree heat for an hour or more and enjoy a cigar. it is 11:10 as I write this and it is still warm outside. But burning one in a cigar lounge or a smokiing room is extremely enjoyable. In fact, I have been seriously considering spending the 35 bucks a month or so for the membership at the local B&M just to have a convenient place to go.

for me, it isn't just the heat - when it gets really humid, i feel like i'm smoking a damp stick 1/2 way down

I always smoke outside (or in the garage) as my daughter's a serious asthmatic.

I don't have an issue with smoking in the heat, except as mauied said, once the humidity gets up, I feel like I'm sucking on a wet rag 1/2 way through. If it's humid, I'll opt for a smaller stick.

My issue is smoking in the winter. My garage isn't heated, so .................

Blech, the humidity 'round DC was hell for a prairie boy. For the first week after I got home I was the only one not complaining about the heat. After the humidity out there it just didn't feel hot here since it was dry.

I find I only smoke outdoors in the evenings, and only indoors if it's cool or I'm running the A/C. Except the A/C is a window unit, so I have to hide behind stuff so my burn doesn't get all messed up.
