Here's a warm up smoke for me. How many pictures can we submit. If it's only one, I don't want this one to be it. I can do better.

Good stuff guys. I admire your dedication. When I light up a smoke I think maybe this one will be a good one for the contest by every time with about an inch of ash I get lazy and get in the mindset that I would rather get full enjoyment out of it than worry about the ash falling off. Oh well will have to do it one day

If my local sho still has some in stock, I may have a secret weapon...I'm definitely going to have to try this one.

Contest has been extended to see if we can get a few more entries.

Newf, there is no ring gauge limit.

Here's the latest attempt after a shitty night at work.

The hounds decided they would pose with the cigar.

Trinidad, not sure which one. It was still holding a firm ash at 1 and 1/2 inches so I figured I'd try again. I had to baby it to get it there but it took my mind off of everything else.

    1 Opus X (size TBD)
    1 RyJ Coronas
    1 Partagas PCE
    a handful of my "dailys"

I borrowed this idea from another board. I hope they don't mind

    The rules are as follows:

    1) The stick must have been smoked between Aug. 1/06 and Sept. 30/06.
    2) The stick must be free-standing on the ash with no support or assist, other than he ash itself.
    3) Your favorite lighter must be present in the picture.
    4) The top 5 will be determined by me and then voted on by the memebers of this site.
    5) The poll will run from Oct.1/06-Oct.7/06 and the winner will be announced shortly therafter.
    6) Any other rules decided by me will be implemented as I see fit. I make the final judgement .
    7) Have FUN!

Here is my first entry. Although it would be disqualified for not including my favorite lighter
    Hey Drew,

I think I know where this contest was originally posted.

Nice refinement of the rules. I'll have to consider some of those for the contest next spring.

    Last minute entry

The ash on this baby was so tight I could have done an ash stand smoking it to the nub, but I was not sure I would enjoy smoking the label

So I actually made another ash stand with the same cigar. By the way cool volcano look at the bottom of the stand
