    Default Upgrade is coming

Just so you guys know what’s coming in the next few days, vBulletin just released the newest version of the bulletin board system. I’m going to get that installed and start work on a new look for the site. The new version of vBulletin has some improved functionality you can read more about what’s new with this upgrade here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186803

I would like to also get vbDrupal installed. This will allow you to have your own personal blog on the site. You can use it to keep a cigar journal, post cigar related news and experiences, etc. I am also going to look into how to integrate a feed of new blog posts to the front page so people can easily keep track of new content.

You are also going to notice some more ad’s in the short term. Don’t fear, once things get settled I will implement an optional subscription service ($30 a year) which will give you more PM space (1000 messages) and no advertisements when you are logged in.

Part 1 of this is done. I have upgraded the forum software to vBulletin 3.6.0. Please let me know if you have any problems.

    More to come!

    Default Upgrade Questions

    Hi Hex,

Just a couple quick questions on the upgrade - what is the multi-quote option (nothing happens when I click it) - and I'm assuming the green blocks will correspond to (future) post counts?

    Lookin' good!

I fixed a bug in the template that broke the multi quote function. (It should let you quote from multiple posts at once). The Green blocks are for User Reputation. It comes as part of the forum now, so I enabled it. More to come on that as well.

    Sid.... you OK ??

    Haha... I love this option
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"
