Most Kitty litter type silica gel's include other additives for odor control. Straight silica gel has no humidity level control either. Better to get the stuff specially made to keep the humidity constant.

A search of "kitty litter" on this forum turned up 4 threads besides the one you started today.The difference is, is that any of these four could've answered your question, had you thought to use the search function yourself before beginning a useless thread.
A suggestion: Start another thread. Tell us a little about who you are, what you smoke, where you live, etc.
A clarification: While the word "humification" exists, it has to do with the process of turning plant matter into humus, or, the decomposition of plant matter.
