The Quinteros and Por Larranaga are probably legit -- at least I've never seen a fake of those brands.

CA maintains a counterfeit gallery -- take a look: http://http://www.cigaraficionado.co...,3390,,00.html
These Cohiba's are not only fake, but they ain't even close...

Thought I'd liven up the thread again with some pictures.

This is the beautiful Lotus humidor my wife bought me for my birthday recently

Some of the goodies inside the humidor. I live in a very, very dry climate, so I have a large PG jar in there and will sometimes add soaked sponges to increase the humidity. Oldest cigar in there is a CAO MX2 from about 18 months ago and newest is on the far left, the Davidoff Puro Maginifico

I use my cigar jar when there is some overflow of cigars. Humidor stays at home, cigar jar stays in my office. Makes for a great conversation piece for the people coming in and out of my office all day.

Nice humidor. You will grow out of that quickly.

Indeed, that may very well be the case. I'm already 3-stacked on the right side. At the same time, I don't have a ton of time to smoke, I really only smoke 3-4 sticks/month. So, a good number of the cigars you see in the humidor will actually be aged a bit by the time I get around to them

Look at where dbateman is from . When my Swedish friend buy cubans from his local shop and mails them to me I know they are real and do not GAF about date codes. I cannot vouch for his cubans but find no reason to give him shit about it either

Kev - Not trying to give him shit. I just don't know much about ISOMs and most of my education comes from CA. I always want to learn more about cigars!

    Regardless, a very nice humidor!

Here is the Humi its a 300 count nothing fancy This is the lid open - top drawer
but effecient got it on Ebay for $60 delivered

Top drawer removed - next level 2 lower drawers pull out

How do the sticks in the drawers work out? I have the same one that I got as a gift and I use the drawers for non cigar items but have been thinking about changing that. When I look at the drawers tho, they aren't sealed very well and was wondering how they hold up for you.

    Thanks.

    Poor man's refrigidor part 1:

This is a $58 B & D Thermoelectric refrigerator available at Wally World.

Two Peltier units - one high, one low...very cool. Seriously, I needed a JC manual thermostat to bring it above 55 degrees.

Had to remove the plastic projection on the door.

    Specs:

    Interior dimensions (useable space) 13.5"W X 11.5"D X 16.5"H
    Exterior " 17"W X 19"D X 20"H

    Poor man's refrigidor part 2:

Total investment with shelves, JC thermostat, and beads, about $150

After it cools off some this fall, I will finish it by lining the rest of it with Honduran Luan.

Will hold approx 200 sticks, more with some custom built trays.

This is my humidor its a 75-100 count Bally glass top I got in the mail this weekend. I've spent the past few days seasoning it and moving it around the house trying to find the right temp/Rh spot for it. Right now its at 74/64 but the temp. has been cooling down from 77 the past few hours since I've kept it at this certain spot. So I'm thinking by Friday I'll be ready for a newbie sampler...

Its just a start and I'm sure ill be setting up a coolidor within the next few months lol...

EDIT: Since I've moved it to my bedroom floor against the wall leading outside its been at 70/65 for the past few hours. so I'm feeling good about a putting some cigars in there now.
