8 months? I was expecting six years, in 2000(or 2001) cohiba changed the black band to gold if its only been eight months marked box than its probably fake.. the lettering should be gold and there should be a gold band. Unless of course its from an older box which is also possible.

Ohh yea, they are from my dads buddy...he's a old cuban guy that has had them for longer than he can remember. I gotten like 10 from him, so I know they are legit. Those 2 I got from him about 8 months ago.

I'm expecting my first humidor any day now... I'll post a pic when it has smokes in it... For now here is a shot of a few that are waiting.

This is a great thread going.

Here's a pic of one of my humidors. I won this several years ago at the JR in Whippany, NJ, it was the grand prize and donated by Lew/JR. It is a one of a kind prototype and was too expensive to mass produce. At least that's what Lew said.

It's about 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall. There are four sections. all come right apart. The first is the top. Not humidified at all but a good secret stash area for things like cigar shipment receipts, illegal contraband, etc.

The second section is the windowed cedar tray humidor. The three shelves slide out and can hold around 100 toros each or so.

The third section is the box humidor. It holds about 18-20 boxes/bundles if you are good at Tetris.

The final section is just the stand. This is all painted board. No veneer or real tiger maple. Pretty well made. I currently have one of the JR bookshelf humidors (you'd buy some library editions of Bolivar, ERDM, etc and get it for $50) on top of it. It's similar in width and adds another section, although the quality and tightness is not even close.
