I use a desktop V cutter at home, works very well for most all cigars. Similar to a punch, they seem to collect more tar on cigars prone to producing more tar. Other than that, I like the way the cap and end of the cigar stay mostly intact, and I don't get as much tobacco in my mouth to spit out.
