So I finally got around to taking some pics of my humidor. I am glad to report that it is quickly filling up. Now I have to think about either smoking more to free up more room or to get another one.....hmmm

Ooooh , a Partagas Black label. Still probably one of my favorite cigars. Have you smoked one?

Here's my first humidor and my first ever 2 cigars (not smoked a single one yet).

Being new at this, im still trying to get the thing to 75 degrees (if the reader is even working right, as im travelling i dont have time to do the salt test >< ) but it will get there eventually.

1st cigar I bought was Romeo y Julieta #3 , 2nd one is White Owl Superior (label off since the label was not on the cigar but on the plastic wrapper... im still not sure if one should store the cigars with the plastic wrapping or without! surely the plastic would slow down the humidity intake/loss of the cigar no? thus bad to have?).

    Feedback appreciated.

    Dantac,
We newbies get pretty excited and jump in with the questions!

But, most or our questions have been asked, and the search is a great place to start.
I like to sit with my smoke and just read all the posts of interest to me, then ask a more specific question.
    These guys are great here!
Nice lookin desk top humi too!

So I've only been collecting a few months but this is what I have so far. I found my Humidor locally on Craigslist for 5 bucks

So it's small now but growing fast. And after reading Badwhale's review of the Olivia Master Blends III I think I know what's going in there next.

I just can't get over the size of slcraiders stash! I can't imagine having that many cigars, I wouldn't know what to do with them all.

Ha! Well at the rate I go it would take a lifetime to smoke that many. Even the amount I have now is about 4-5 years worth. I guess the answer is step it up notch lol.

Oh forgot to add, thanks Mangyrat! It's a start anyways.

Noob's, 4-5 years to smoke a box of cigars.

Someone has to teach these guys how to smoke.

In all honesty smoke at the speed you enjoy. If your not enjoying it then it's not worth doing.

Yeah I know, I just don't get a lot of time to enjoy them properly, just a few times a year. But I'm planning one soon!

Been an ongoing project of mine for the past couple of months but its almost done. All I have left to do is to finish the faux-top which I plan on putting a collage of all the bands I have collected from smoking and a glass piece on top of that. The other thing is putting some molding on the bottom with a black lacquer finish and match that to the top. Will post more pics when I'm finally done.

    Looks great!
The collage and trim is really going to take it over the top.
    Nice work!
