Operation Stogie AKA Cigars for Troops Pass

The Idea

To have another pass and collect smokes for our troops at the same time

The Rules (shamelessly borrowed)

1) Priority #1 is to have FUN!!!!
2) When you receive the pass, please do a through inventory and make sure everything is numbered correctly
3) Inspect the box, packing etc. If you have any concerns, please post or notify me via PM
4) Please do not remove any cigars from their baggies unless they are a part of your Takes.
5) Do as many Puts/Takes (P/Ts) as you want, but post them prior to shipping the package off to the next recipient.
6) P/Ts should be: A) value for value, B) Rarity for Rarity
7) If anyone does not feel that the Puts/Takes are fair, please be polite in addressing it, to the person directly or to me
8) This pass will not include ISOMs just to be on the safe side for now
9) Prior to shipping, please post or PM the next person to verify that they are ready for the pass.
10) Once you ship the package via USPS Priority Mail, please post DC# in the forum

Cigars for troops

1) Please include some cigars that you would like to donate to our troops. Once the pass makes its way back these will be shipped to the toops serving in the Middle East
2) Not obligatory, but if you feel like it, you can include a note, post card, photo, what everelse you want that will also be sent to he troops to bring up their spirits and feel that we care.

The FUN RULE ...

There will be an extra box of cigars in the pass. PLease fell free to take one for yourself as a freebie. My only request is that once you smoke this one please post a review of it in the review section. Who ever starts the first thread, everyone else can just post in the same one. No need to worry as the review can be as simple as yo want EX I really enjoyed this cigar I give it a 4 out of 5 or I did not like it I give it a 2 out of 5. Or if you feel like having a more sophisticated review please do it by all means

The pass will kick off this SAT with a hand delivery to Mauied1101.

After that please post here the DC # when you send the pass to the next person and please send it Priority Mail that way there is less chance of our dear USPS screwing anything up.

Also please post your puts including #s in this thread or if you feel like you want to check with me first by all means PM me the info first.

ANY EXTRA STICKS BEYOND THE ORIGINAL 30 WILL BE ALSO INCLUDED IN THE TROOPS CARE PACKAGE.

Some of you have mentioned that you might want to include a note, postcard, magazine, etc for the troops. Feel free to put in what ever else you like I am positive the guys will apreciate it.

Once the pass gets back to me as well as the donations that people pledged I will take picture/s of the stash that is being sent and post that here

The list with all participants addys and order will be included in the pass.

Got the box from Dan on Sat safe and sound - took it out today - package looks good - added some padding to keep the boxes and sticks rolling around.

Package arrived today.

Two of the plastic hinges on the container was busted and a couple of the cigars had spilled out into the box.

#9 has a split from the middle of the cigar down to the foot.
#44 was split on the head.

I've got a whole garbage bag full of the air pillows from CI and I will use some of them to help pack the box. There were only 3 air pillows in there.

Also if it is ok with everyone I'm going to check to see if I have just a little bit bigger box to ship this in. The current problem is that the two plastic containers have to be on their sides to both fit in the box.

I can post some pics if my descriptions don't make any sense.

I'll post my P/T's tonight.

Thanks for being on top of this. Make what ever changes you feel are warranted. As far as the sticks lets take #9 out of rotation it seems it is damaged rather badly. If you think it is smokable go right ahead just keep it otherwise jut trash it. Also if you think #44 is beyond repair let's do the same thing. I will let you decide what the call is on them. Just post it here along with your puts/takes

Not a problem. #9 is going to be worthless. I'll host a pic tonight so that everyone can see the damage. #44 will be fine, its just a small split on the cap and once you clip it to smoke it will be fine.
