One of the oldest languages still in use.

    That's Hebrew, you moron.

I'm pretty sure you meant that as a joke.

I'd hate to think you really are that obtuse.

Everybody settle down, I have friends who don't live in California, NY, New England, Chicago, or the eastern midwest who have never met a jew in their lives. Syd, it's true, you guys are dying out (all that intermarriage has watered down the gene pool and remnants, not to mention the atrocity of losing 6 million in a few years to a disgusting ideaology), that's why Jewish females who sell their eggs can score a much higher price. Either way, trust me, Jews aren't everywhere and behind everything as Hitler would have us believe, so aside from your personal beef with Baka, cut him and anyone else who doesn't know the beauty of Hebrew some slack (my wife was the best Hebrew youth cantor in Ohio!). After all, Yom Kippur is not far away and that is all about forgiveness.

Oh, and the transliteration is Rosh Hashanah.

I tend to agree with Sean here. I didn't read anything hateful or sarcastic in Baka's post. I hope there was no malice or sarcasm intended, and I will give the benefit of the doubt that has been raised by Sid. But just as you apologize when you sneeze on someone's neck in a movie theater or step on someone's heels, I think an apology for an unintentional faux pas is in order.

    CNB, it's your move.

Having a few Jewish friends I knew. That is the only way I would know as I am not Jewish...I shared a house with a Jewish guy for a year and learned a bit.

I don't know how many Jewish people CNB has around him but there are only about 30 in my city. Some people just do not have a chance to interact with every culture due to their geographical location. Jewish holidays are just not brought to the attention of people in my area due to there being so few of them.

Unintentional ignorance is no crime. It can be overcome by explaining things in a proper manner.

The best to Sid and his brothers sisters in their celebration.

All I did was ask what it meant. How is that insensitive? You're showing your roots Sid. You keep trying to bait me into rolling in the shit. Have a nice day

What a prick you are. If you wanted to know, why didn't you Google it? Because you like starting shit with Sid.

    Get a life, asswipe.
What "roots" comment? I didn't say anything antisemitic. Prove it,

My guess is the employees didn't tell him. I don't tell my boss everything about what I do outside of work because quite frankly, it's none of the boss's business.

I honestly didn't know it was a major Jewish Holiday this weekend either and none of the calendars I look at have it noted.

Hell, I didn't even know Sid celebrated Hebrew holidays and I even know what his last name is which I doubt many others around here do.

Sid's last name reminds me more of Russian mafia than Hebrew it's full of consonants and I can't pronounce it to save my life.

I know there is a major Jewish holiday as both employees asked to leave at 2PM since they had things they needed to get done before sundown.

What I didn't know was the language Sid was using, so all I asked was a simple question, then got slammed by two people, now you jump on the bandwagon. Prove I said ANYTHING antisemitic.
