    Default Another "F"ing newbie

After I read DRU's intro I was sort of intimidated to chime in. How can I possibly match that humor, wit, intellect, then I said to myself ah what the F*&K you've been a dumb ass all your life just say hello.

Lets see some history, Well picked up the cigar habit....err...hobby from the old man about 20 years ago. He was always the frugal type so he either went the bundle route or the drug store cigar. So thats what I basically started out on. Then I started getting more sophisticated (if thats what you call spending more money for a smoke) and branched out to Mac's, R&J's, Aston ect all the milder smokes. Started attending cigar events dinners and so-forth with friends . Then went to one dinner that was a combined cigar/scotch event. Something like $100 got you a 5 course dinner, 8 top quality cigars, and samples of blended to 21 yr old single malt scotch all night. Man, what a mistake I've now managed to go from spending a buck on a cigar and about buck fifty for a Bud to $220 box of Aston VGS and $70 bottle of 15 yr old single malt...go figure. but I digress. Anyway my taste has changed over the years. I guess I'm now considered a medium/full to full body smoke type of guy. My favorites have also changed. I actually just discovered the Aston VGS Sorcerer, have had 2 and love then. Other new favorites are Bolivar Fuerte No. 754, and Perdomo Champagne figurado. A few of my not so expensive favorites are Fonseca VSG #3 (although I've sort of lost my taste for these recently), Still love Onyx #4 after letting them age a bit, R&J Bully's. I'm always searching for new sticks and always open for suggestions. I guess that about wraps it up.

From one newbie to another welcome to the board.

I would kill to find a quality dinner combined with good smokes and Scotch around here, sounds like it was an awesome event!
Seatbelts save lives, my best friend and I are alive because of them.

Nobody is ever gone as long as there is someone to remember them.
