    Default Who needs cable TV?

Almost all my favorite shows are in the internet, on demand the day after they air on tv... So why do I have cable when I don't watch it? Well as of today, I don't. Now all I need to do is rearrange my Living room so I can plug my laptop into my TV, and presto! TV on demand..... and I save $80 on cable tv that I don't watch!

Sorry, I need my 65" HD TV, especially when hockey is on.

I wish i could get my cable ala cart. I really only watch about 8 channels. Unfortunitly they are all cable channels: The History Channel, Comedy Central, TLC, Discovery Channel, ESPN, the Travel Channel, FX for movies and MTV for Pimp My Ride/ Cribbs. The rest of the stuff i could easliy do with out.

Ditto - some folks in congress agree - but the argument from the cable folks is that the few channels we watch keep the rest of the channels running and that if we went ala cart, no one would watch the public access channels.

Now here's an idea - pay a-la carte for the programs that you watch - forget about the channels - it's what my Tivo is doing anyway. Everything else is just white noise.
Look at that... I plumb got myself 5 raisins and 7 termites.

Oh, i see, kind of like universal pay-per-view? I'd be into that. I dont watch much TV as it is. Paying $100 a month for cable and internet seams excesive to me considering what shows I actually do watch and usage of the internet. Its a shame that the cable/internet industry isn't more competitive.
