You mean in the "Ads by Yahoo!" part, right? If so, those losers don't pay for that.

Now if they were actually paying Hex to advertise here, I'd be tempted to be nice to them.

But they're not so fuck 'em.

I have never used TW but it seems like their prices on ashton 8-9-8 are below JR's. Is JR high as well cause I usually ordxer from them but its been mostly specials...

O wait NVM I just saw their prices of ONYX reserve another brand I buy and holy crap thats 20 more for a box than I normally pay...

Sorry to edit again but they have a box of 20 natural trinidad funadores for 7.35.... you think if I buy it they will deliver on their website's mistake?

Quick Comparison on a pretty common cigar: the AVO #2, box of 25

    Cigar International : $122.95
    JR's Cigars: $125
    Rocky's Cigars $116.38
    Mike's Cigars $124.75

    Tobacco World Cigars: $180.75

So yeah, that seems on the high side of what's out there. I havn't been around long enough to know if that constitutes "gouging", they may just be charging what the market will bear. But if I was buying them I'd probably do some research and shop somewhere else and save myself 30%.

If I remember correctly, the main issue had to do with premium, hard-to-find cigars, like AF Anejos. These MSRP @ $10 and less. TWC was in the $25-$35 neighborhood.

They always try to screw people of Fuente stuff then say "I'm not an authorized retailer, I don't get it from Fuente" yet surprisingly they seem to get opus and stuff.

My experience was when a buddy and I were going to split a box of fuente 858 sungrowns that the listed on their site. He called and they said they were out but could get him a natural box for 149 bucks. Thank God he called me first because a box of 858 nats. is less than 100 bucks not 5 miles from my house.

Also they try to pawn of opus for around 500% markup.

Then there was this time about 2 months ago some moron showed up at cigarpass claiming to just be a cigar smoker who heard about (and posted about) a padron event at the TW shop and then claimed to have gone and when he mentioned cigarpass Marriat gave him a padron 40th on the house. Yeah - that's a load of bullshit.

First off, by the lousy grammar and lack of skill with the English language it was clear this jerk off was Marriat. Then when it pm'd me and acted like a fool I was certain.

Another deceptive stunt by the scum of the cigar retailing world.

Thompsons $160....seems like there is more than one gouge site out there. I haven't bought anything from Thompsons since I came to this board.

If your ever looking for cigars, post a question. Between everyone here you will find the best deal.
