Well, let's see, I dunno what to say.

I didn't have time for a cigar today. Maybe I'll have one now.

The World Series is on, I'm rooting for the Cardinals. Damn it, Rolen hit a lead off double in the bottom of the 6th and they couldn't score him.

As far as politics, I'm hearing two completely different theories on control of Congress. One of the State Reps I'm helping said he saw a Barron's article very recently that had statistics on incumbents who had more than 100K on hand at this point in comparison to their challengers and the relect rate. Based on this article, the writer was convinced that the Republicans would retain control of Congress. Anyone else see this article?

On the other hand, one of my Republican Town Chairmen who I was at a meeting with last night told me he reads a website everyday (realclearpolitics ???) that said that no way will the Republicans keep control on Congress. He told me it had an in-depth analysis of all the competitive races across the country and convinced him that it will happen. I haven't had time to look at it, has anyone else?

I still remain very confident that the three Republicans in Connecticut will win. I was able to review some internal polling results but I can't disclose the details or they'll shoot me.

Well, that MAY qualify for a "well though out post" but who knows?
