Thread: FS Or Trade box of 25 Hugo Cassar Robusto's

Default FS Or Trade box of 25 Hugo Cassar Robusto's

Yes I am a newb on this forum and to cigar smoking (only been smoking for a couple years). Anyhow I just came back form the Dominican (Punta Cana) and brought back some cigars. I purchased a couple of boxes of Hugo Cassars Robusto's and was wondering if anyone was interested in a trade or purchase of one of them.

I am willing to trade for Jose Piedra's or any of the ACID cigars or looking to sell the sealed box for $90. If your local to me (Toronto GTA area) then I can meet up with you. These cigars are very smooth and are great for beginners. I always enjoy one after dinner :>

I know this is a first post and people are weary of newbs, if you want I can forward my ebay feedback (over 900+ transactions and 99.2% positives) to anyone interested.

I can also send pics of the sealed box upon request, or post them if there is enough interest. Thanks.

Wow! That's great feedback for so many transactions. I bid $1 for the sealed box of H. Cassars.

Due to the trauma sturgeon style of your post, I'll bid $1.20 and 2 swisher sweets.

Screw this lowballing, here's my best, and final offer.

I'll go $1.75, an old shoe my dog slobbered all over, and a dirty stick of gum from the bottom of my Mom's purse.

    Beat that, bitches!

Well, the ONLY reference I could find to these cigars were in a thread at the CS board under the worst cigars ever smoked. Post # 12.

I'm going to be asshats beware here and tell you a little story here a2vd6. Cigar boards are nothing like eBay when it comes to selling things. These boards are communities rather than yard sales and those who come here out of the blue trying to sell cigars on their first post are ALWAYS met with skepticism..

Ever since eBay (which is a shitty company to deal with in the first place) banned the sale of tobacco on their site, we've had quite a few guys like you popping in and immediately setting up their lemonade stands trying to sell cigars on their first post.

We don't give two shits about your eBay "rating". All we know is that NO ONE here knows who you are so I can 99.99% guarantee you that you won't find a buyer here.

I would also suggest that you don't try this on other cigar boards either. If you do, chances are very good that you'll catch a whole lot more crap than you got here.

    George, you bastard!!!

Allright, take my original bid and add a big ball of used masking tape, color blue, with a nice eggplant semi gloss latex.

And that's is the absolute best I can do.

Jesus, twist my goddamn arm....allright, take the old brush, the stirring stick, and the tray liner...you've absolutely tapped me out.

Man, I'm exhausted...what am I bidding on again?

I didn't think people here thought everyone is a scammer when they try to sell something. Sorry everyone thinks this is a scam. What do you think would be a good way to set everyones mind at ease?

To the posters that said these cigars are crap, I can tell you they are really good. They don't unravel or anything like the guy mentions in the post. The ash is tight and you actually have to flick it to get it off the thing. And YES they are from the DR, I bought them from the shop in an actual hotel (from the Occidental in punta cana, we stayed at the Punta Cana Grand). This is the actualy price we paid after haggling with the guy forever. I know for a fact that at Holy Smokes here in canada (change of cigar vendorrs) sell these for almost $5 each + tax. They are comparable to Jose Piedras but a bit smoother.

Anyways I will get a photo up and you can check out my feedback from ebay.

if you have an account you can send me an email if you don't believe that is my feedback.

Quit trying to sell these cigars. Hang around for a few months, become a contributing member, gain some respect on the board, then try again...like July 2007.

A2.....calm down...as has been suggested to you by others.....

    1...newbie post
    2...fit in with the crowd
3...ask if anyone is interested in a trade....but check out prices so that you're sure you're not gouging...

as i mentioned....i thought that cassar's were from Nic & Hon.....i'd be surprised to see them in the D.R.....btw...i've stayed at the barcelo bavaro in punta cana....been to the D.R. twelve times...

Well, allow us to turn on the clue light-
    A. We don't know you.
    B. Your first post is selling Cigars
    C. You admit you are a new person to smoking cigars...then you post this.

Compaired to what?? How do I know what you smoke? For all I know, you are a Macanodo fan. You may think that OpusX is an illegal drug.

You're not going to put anyone’s mind at ease. Sorry, you don't have any time on this board to be able to say...TRUST ME

Don't attempt to tell us what a good smoke is. Don't try to sell us any Cigars.

If you really want to attempt to put us at ease:

First start by not trying to sell anything
Next post and contribute to the board.

The path you are currently going down right now, many have attempted and they all have failed. Don't try.

Now that's not very nice. Actually, CC was being pretty kind. And he makes a good point. If you think this place is bad, try to sell those at some other boards... I've seen it - and it ain't pretty (to try for yourself, go over to CigarFamily.com on a Friday afternoon).

So why would we automatically assume you are a scammer? Hmmmm... Why would you automatically assume this board is looking for you to start off here us wanting to buy something you're selling? I dunno - don't you think that's a bit odd?

Think of it this way. You move to a new town - you find the local hangout where everyone goes to smoke cigars, chat about things, and relax and enjoy. Do you REALLY think you'd receive a very welcome reception if you came strolling in with a trench coat, whipping it open to expose all of the watches and other crap you have for sale? Don't you think that would be a bit forward on your part??? And how long do you think it would be until you'd be tasting the parking lot gravel...

So why don't you introduce yourself - stick around - get involved in the board. And then (sometime in '07) think about putting up some sales... Trust me - things will go much smoother...
