    Default Tubo question

This applies to either ISOM's or NC's.

Is there any difference between the Tubo or "Naked" versions of the same cigar? I would assume they would be the same, but some of the price differences are unreal, especially with ISOMs.

From what I understand they are the same cigar.

I was told by Nick Perdomo at a local event that the estate selection vintage cameroon (the tube version) are the same type of tube, made by the same company, as the sig VI tubes.

They're nice tubes, but not worth the $$$

    Thanks Tyler.

I remember seeing a $15 difference in the Siglo VI "naked" and Tubo versions. Worth it I guess if it's gonna be your first ISOM as a keepsake, but who the hell would pay that much for it!!

I agree. If you a big sig VI fan I could see getting a 3 pack of the tubes that you could reload but otherwise probably wouldn't buy them

90% of the time I find that the only difference is the tube.

From what I understand the Cubans put their absolute best of their stock into tubes then the rest into boxes. With my experience I tend to agree. I have not smoked non-cuban tubes though

OK, I've done some research and here's a more specific question and the answer may lie somewhere jiaguys post above.

RyJ cigars (ISOM's) "naked" version have a predominately red band with a white border and white lettering with some gold trim, which is actually very similar to the N/C version if I'm not mistaken.

Now, I've been told (remember the story about my wife's dentist) that the Cuban RyJ Churchill Tubo's have a gold band. Now, I've had Dominican RyJ Churchill Tubos that had a gold band. Is this another Cuban band copy, or is he confused all to hell and taking me with him??
