    I was very surprised this didn't pass. VERY pleased, but surprised.

    Glad but not too surprised.

    Fortunately for us cigar smokers and those who were opposed to this Proposition was that it was so poorly written. So little of the tax went toward any programs aimed at smoking cessation and in the end the voters saw what this really was . . . a political money grab aimed at a politically unpopular group initiated by special interest groups who could not get their agendas through the Legislature.

    Even still, being that this IS California I was a littel surprised that it did not pass. What shall I smoke to celebrate?

    Good thing do-gooder, liberal shit like that didn't even pass in California. Hey Barry, weren't your Democrats the ones who championed this cause?

    Actually, to the un-informed, it may have looked like that. However, it was supported mostly by large corporate hospitals (bloated, rich, corporate fat cats tend to be conservatives, even in CA ), for their almost exclusive profit.
    You should be used to being wrong by now, somehow though you still seem a bit angry.
