Thread: Where do you smoke? Poll

Default Where do you smoke? Poll

So I've read several times on here about certain people not being able to smoke in their own house. Not looking down on them, that's very considerate, but I was just curious as too who has to sit outside for an hour everytime they want to smoke. I, myself, being a young, adventurous man living by myself, get to smoke inside. I just feel for you guys in the winter. I'll be sure to send you the biggest cigar I can find!

I have to smoke outside, usually i do it on the roof of my garage at night while looking at stars and listening to some music. When I'm not smoking on the roof I'm smoking around a campfire.

I voted "inside", but you should have included an "either, because I'm the master of all I survey" category.

I'm "forced" to smoke outside, I'm married. But there is a nice bar just down the road that I can smoke in if needed.

Until recently i was smoking inside, but then my roommate, who also smokes, decided that he was getting sick of the smell. Hard to argue about a subjective claim, so i decided since i need to live with this guy for another 8 months, i dont want to stir the waters too soon. I just moved out of a place which i lived at for a year and a half with a roommate who was a pre-madonna, whiney, conceded prick. But there are enough B&M's around here to find shelter durning winter.

I don't smoke in my house because A)I don't like the smell of stale cigar smoke, and B)I will sell this house someday and houses that even faintly smell of stale smoke are a bitch to sell.

So I smoke on my patio, at outdoor seating at Starbucks, and the only place I smoke inside is at my local B&M, which I go to frequently.

I smoke outside on my deck. For the same reasons as above. However, I do not have the option of smoking at a public place in the God-forsaken state.

I force myself to smoke outside... or is that free will? hmmm? The wife wouldn't like me smoking inside either.

I smoke on the front porch or out by the pond in an adirondack chair. Both are nice.

I've had a couple inside recently, but will try to avoid it. I can smell the smoke for several days. A couple of days ago I ordered a Friedrich C-90B Air Cleaner/Purifier which is supposed to be one of the best on the market for clearing smoke and odor. If it works well I will start to smoke more often in the house.

I smoke inside, like i said. But man that smokes stays for days, and is very stale. I usually open all the windows and doors, and turn a fan on. I just don't have the patience to sit outside the whole time. The only time i sit outside to smoke is on Sundays, but I quickly lose intrest in my surroundings.

Usually outside, if I'm inside smoking it's at a bar.

I smoke outside by my own free will.

And when I say "Free Will" I mean that I fully realize that if I ever smoked inside then SWMBO* would remove any sense of free will that I might have and I'd never smoke inside again.

So, like most men, I don what my wife wants me to do while living under the illusion that it's my choice.

I went with outside (forced) due to my wife. It's also kind of free will because I don't want all my stuff smelling of stale smoke.

I have said though when all of our stuff is moved out of the townhouse (we rent now) I will be having a huge party with everyone smoking. I guess it's only the way I can get back at the apartment complex legally.

I totally agree with CNB. I don't smoke in the house or in my car. I like the smell of cigars, but not in my stuff.

I smoke in the garage. I got a nice kerosene heater for winter time. It actually does not smell at all.
Also I'll some in front of the fireplace on occasion. It just gets too hot sometimes, and my face gets burnt trying to make sure all the smoke goes up the chimney. My wife encourages me to get some nice smokes, but to smoke in the house where I feel like it is a bozo no-no.

I smoke inside the house (it's a rental) and the car (it's a bit crap and I can't see the smell of cigar smoke de-valuing it any further), but sometime outside of my own free will.

I leave the windows open during the day when I'm at work and that usually clears away the smell.

I'll smoke outside on the balcony if the wether is good enough. I'll also if cigarette smokers come round and i want to continue a conversation with them. Though somtimes I've been known to smoke inside and carry on the conversation through the glass door

Cigarettes smell like shit and I won't allow them to be smoked in the house. Sure they complain like shit about my double standards (specially if I'm smoking on the inside), but that's life

    Default Outside/garage

I smoke outside if the weather is above 45 and not too windy, and retreat to my garage workshop when its crappy. I have a wood stove and a kerosene heater there that keeps it nice and toasty!!
