When I was but a wee- 'lil noob back in the day, I made the mistake of buying from Thompsons. As most are aware, they have a telemarketing department whose mission in life is to alienate and annoy their customers to no end. I once worked in the industry, and most solid businesses went by a two "no" responses standard. Thompsons seems to go with the "make them mad as bloody hell" standard. Anyways, I got a phone call from my good friends at Thompsons this evening and the lady began her pitch. Obviously agitated, but still thinking-I handed the phone to my two year old who just loves talking on the phone. He rattled off a line of gibberish and then proceeded to hang up on the customer rep by hitting the "end call" button. He then looked at me and smiled. We clapped hands and said "yeah!" and I proceeded to reward him with his favorite candybar. I'm so proud. Just thought I'd share this proud moment. Feel free to share your annoying Thompson's story if you like. I'm sure we all have 'em.
