Thread: What should I smoke this weekend?

Default What should I smoke this weekend?

This weekend I'm headed down to South Florida to help my Mom put up her Christmas Tree (it's huge) and I'll have a chance to hit one of my favorite B&Ms while I'm down there. More importantly I'll get to smoke at one of my favorite places, the deck my Dad and I built almost 8 year ago.

Normally I kind of amble around the shop or call Guado for his suggestion but usually end up with a RP '90 '92 or OWR this time I want something different.

I'd like to stay under $15 for 1 (keep in mind it's a B&M so it's normally $1-$3 above what I'd find online)

    Lately I've smoked

Hoyo De Monterey Excalibur 1066 which I enjoyed but wasn't anything super duper but I'd smoke it again

Padilla Hybrid it had an awesome draw and nice smoke with a great taste all the way through, definitely would smoke again

Flor De Olvia for an affordable "yard gar" I loved it, I wasn't to thrilled with the flavored/dipped tip but the smoke was really quality for the money and I'll be picking some more up to keep around for newb smokers.

Victor St. Clair Bohemian definitely interesting but not in a hurry to try one again, it was something slightly different but the draw was horrid.

Normal favorites as mentioned above are the RP's

I'm looking for a long smoke so usually when I'm down there I'll go with biggest RP I can find, usually the 60.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Carlos Torano.

Which FdO did you smoke? I really like these, and have had the maduro, gold, and corojo in both the toro and robusto sizes. Maybe I am really a serious newbie, but I didn't notice a "flavored/dipped tip" on the ones that I have had. You are right, they are definitely a good smoke for the money, imho.

Seconds on the Torano. I smoked a 1959 maduro (I think it was maduro-it was dark), and it was delish. One of my faves. The churchill lasted me an hour and change. Smooth and tasty.

Maduro and I'm not sure 100% on the size.

*waits for Guado to chime in since he's the one that gave them to me*

Hmmm... I might have a Torano in my humi... I'll have to look.

That is why I'm a Life Coach. You have a question, I have your answer.

I was correct, I have on in my humi already just haven't got to smoke it yet, Torano Exodus 1959. Thanks CigarDan.

Looks like I'm currently leaning toward Guado's suggestion of a Padron 64

Anybody else have some suggestions? Oh the next one I smoke at home that's not a yard gar will be the Torano.
