I heard Rocky was giving Manny Ferrero CPR at the TAA event in Mexico when he died the other day.

If it's possible to know in the 5 minutes I saw him yesterday he seems like the kind if guy that would do that. He was a pleasure to meet. It made me not mind that I was paying more for this box than what I would online to support him and my fantastic local B&M.

I'm stocking up for summer and boating season on Lake Powell so I just added 2 boxes of 5 Vegas Gold, a box of Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, a box of Solo Cafe Toro (cheapies but I like them), and a box of Baccarat Sumatra Corona (more cheapies but I like them too.)

I just picked up a La Aroma De Cuba Mi amor in toro, I smoked a robusto a while back but toro is my favorite vitolla. I enjoyed the robusto so I am really looking forward to this toro. I also got an Alec Bradley Prensado for free! I have never had it but Sheri (my tobacconist) said some people wanted them and she was curious about it so she gave me one to smoke and tell her what I think of it.

Normally when I'm gifted a cigar at my local shop i fire it up on the spot unless I'm smoking a cigar at the time.

Latest addition to my humidor... A digital thermometer/hygrometer lol. Newest cigar was a Padron Series, but that was a few days ago and is no longer around

I would have loved to have lit the prensado up but the shop I go to is in my local mall and lacks a lounge so I couldnt, I plan to light it up this weekend for sure though. I was in there yesterday and picked up their only liga Pravda no 9 that they had stashed away, I'm saving that for after boot camp for sure.

Made the mistake of stopping in on my B&M today and rooting through their walk-in humidor looking for old box codes. The credit card took a beating ...
Los Statos de Luxe Delerios - Feb 99 - inexpensive (relatively) machine mades. If these are decent, then I'm going to pick up a sh*tload of them.
El Rey del Mundo Lunch Club - Mar 07
San Cristobal de la Habano Mercadores - Dec 05 - these were covered in plume :-)
Por Larranaga Panatelas - my favourite budget Habanos are back in Canada!
Vegas Robaina Familiar - Jul 07 - should be ready to smoke :-)

    Default Fuente Rosado Manum R44

Bought some Arturo Fuente Rosado Sun Grown Ltd Magnum R44s. These are way better in the smaller ring size than the 53-54-56-58 ring size versions to me. They are not as overpowering and have a sweeter flavor, while still delivering a small punch. Not a cigar with a ton of flavor changes...just a smooth, well aged tobacco flavor from start to finish. If you're a fan of sun grown wrappers, definitely try them.
