Default San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios

Tonight I had the opportunity to smoke the Oficios by San Cristobal de la Habana, box code July 06. I was hesitant to smoke it at such a young age, but since the rest are sleeping I didn't mind grabbing one to try out. I expected the cigar to be a little harsh due to youth, but was surprised to find out it was actually really smooth. Overall I would rate the smoke as being medium bodied. Starting out, the cigar was chocolatey until about half way when it developed into a more salty, woodsy profile, with an underlying spice. The cigar was flavorful throughout and was a really nice smoke. I'm sure age will present more depth in the flavor and bring about a little more of the mildly spicy undertone. Overall a great cigar with a change of pace from my usual stash. Recommended.

Cool. Good to hear the great review. IIRC, my box code is jan or feb 06. Let me guess...you took advantage of a certain aussie vendor's special

I have 5 sitting in my cooler waiting for the right day, along with one of the Mercaderes. Good to hear that they are fine smokes.

Nice review. The best Cuban I have had so far was the SCdlH La Punta, which I have only had a few of. But they were so damn good that I'm considering buying a box.

I've had the la fuerza's and El Principe's. Liked them both. Great brand.

Nice review. The La Fuerzas are great cigars.
