Christmas and toys for needy kids
It's that time of year and I though I should mention that many children will have a lean Christmas this year, as there will be every year. For those of us who have a little extra, please buy a gift or two for any of the many charities that collect for needy kids, like Toys for Tots. Donate a dollar per visit to the local charities who use financial institutions or restaurants to sponsor them with paper dolls or name tags.
Many of us may even know a needy extended family member, friend neighbor, or church member. Perhaps a service member is overseas and their family is isolated away from their home town and need a little help this time of year. Maybe an elderly person has had their spouse recently pass away. An invite to Christmas dinner can mean a lot to someone who feels alone.
I guess my point is, Christmas is a time for generosity. Give a little to that cause. It doesn't have to be some grand cause or huge monetary donation. A little here and there times everyone equals a big difference.
