  1. Default Montecristo Jambo Jambo Review -- AMAZING

As promised, heres a review of my new favorite cigar, the Montecristo Afrique Jambo Jambo.

    Origin: Dominican Republic
    Length: 6.00
    Ring: 50
    Strength: Medium-Full
    Wrapper Color: Medium Brown
    Wrapper Type: Cameroon
    Binder: Ecuador
    Filler: AFRICA/NIC/PERU
    Shape: Parejo

Ever read one of those CA reviews that state "vanilla flavor, with hints of cream, new-mown grass, bourbon and red tellecherry pepper" and said to yourself, "yeah, right, sure?"

Try one of these. This is my new favorite smoke. (This is coming from someone who generally smokes ISOM (actually ISOKW) Montecristo #2s.)

Amazing draw and construction, with a BIG smoke that caresses your tongue like wet satin. The main flavor is Madagascar bourbon vanilla. There is a HUGE vanilla component to this cigar. So much so that you'd think there's a vanilla bean in place of the ligero.

Beyond the vanilla is a Devonshire Doublecream note (creamy and a tad sweet) with hints of honey, espresso and fresh cracked pepper. There's also a big alcohol note -- either REALLY dark rum, or bourbon -- I haven't decided which yet, but I'm leaning more towards bourbon.

If I could come up with a complaint (and I really can't), this cigar tastes the same from start to finish. There isn't much of a change throughout the smoke -- the flavors get more intense -- but the same proportions of flavor. I think this is an advantage. Once this cigar gets going, you know what you're in for from start to finish.

I've smoked two of these so far. Both times, I smoked them to the nub, and then actually considered using a toothpick to continue past the "fingerburning" stage. I've now purchased two boxes, and plan to continue to age and smoke and buy more. This is now my "go-to" smoke.

Here's the kicker -- JR Cigar is selling five sticks for $18. That's $3.60 each, and in my opinion, the best deal in cigars at the moment.

(I have nothing to do with JR Cigars, but I think everyone who likes a REALLY flavorful smoke should try a few.)

This isn't an after-dinner cigar, it's dessert itself. A cigar for the creme brulee lover.

Give them a month-long spin in your humidor and then be prepared to be blown away.

I've really been wanting to try some of these. MC's are so damn pricey though. It always holds me back. Maybe I'll splurge for the Xmas season.

I picked up a couple. I'm eager to try them but I have a cold right now.
