    Default Could use some advice

First, hope everyone enjoyed thier Holidays.

I've been looking lately for and old fridge or freezer to use for storage of my smokes I dont keep in my 200 count humidor. My wife was going to buy me a small one for christmas but she couldnt decide on what to get, but she found out a local furniture store takes old full size ones for trade (most are broken or dont work). Was wondering if these might be any good, so long as they have a good seal on the doors. They are free to be hauled away, so you cant beat the price. If anyone has tried this, or has any info on the good/bad of it, please share the knowledge!

They work fine, be sure to use beads for humidification. I'm not a huge fan of them (old refrigerators and freezers) because they take up so much space which is why I prefer coolers.

Thanks for the reply. I have plenty of spce for something big (would like to get a 2-3000 count humi in the future) so size is not really a factor. Letting the ol lady spend the bucks to fill it up.... now thats another matter

they def sound like a great way to go. especially if you can get a nice lookin one for free. i will prolly end up getting one of the smaller fridges when i get my own place, a long with a nice 5-600 count humi for "display" in my home office

should work fine, there's a old picture hidden on this board somewhere where a dude turned an old fridge into one. looked pretty sweet.

Like Bill said, should work fine. Just make sure you get one that has a good seal. Doesn't matter whether it works or not because you're not gonna turn it on anyway. Send Mark a PM (N2Adventure)over at Cigarmony.com , give him the dimensions and he will be able to tell you exactly how much in beads ya need.

Make sure you post some pics of the finished product
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"
