Question What am I in for?

I was just gifted two Macanudo Thames tubos. My friends uncle owns a cigar shop, and she had her dad pick a couple out for me, and thats what he picked. I ahven't tried any before and from what I see around the boards (poking fun of them) I'm not sure what to think of them.

There are no reviews for that Particular size on top25, So what am I in for?

generally macanudos are described as smoking paper, i've never smoked one myself but i've read a few reviews and they dont' seem too popular here or at cigarpass

hope this helps a bit, it would be interesting for you to review it when ur done tho and maybe we can get another opinion

    Default Macanoodle

I have tried a Macanoodo and the best way to describe it is bland its basically like your just smoking a paper bag of something of that caliber but then again I preffer more full bodied cigars Im sure other board members will be able to tell you more and give a better opinion

    He must really like you.

Man I wouldn't expect too much from them. Keep that in mind and I'm sure you'll be ok with them. Or pass em along.

Yeah I am a fan of medium and medium-full smokes, so I don't think I will like them much. I will do a review after I smoke one.

In all honesty I was disappointed. She had told me about her uncle and his shop and seeing what she could do for Christmas and stuff, and I was like thats cool. I wasn't expecting anything rare or topshelf obviously, but Macanudos? The gesture was definately nice, but when she told me she knows nothing about cigars, she was right

    It's...errr... the thought that counts?

I was gifted some Macanoodles at a B&M after I had bought a bunch, guy just threw em in to get rid of em. I save them to hand to friends when they are over for a cigar and they don't really know much about cigars, nor are they they type willing to buy any themselves. I let them get rid of them for me, they enjoy just having a cigar with the rest of us, and the "mild" taste doesn't screw em over too badly. Still.... I usually feel bad about doing that to them

Unfortunately she wants me to tell her if I liked them...I went to the B&M today (and got my ass taken for a ride on an Xi2, but thats another story.) and bought several decent smokes, so these are the last on my list.

Lets see...I have a Monte #2, RP Edge, Padron 3000M, Padron 2000, CAO extreme, and these macanudos. Oh, and The Xi2 Ig ot taken for a ride on because I thought it was the regular Xi.

Remember that Cohiba Gift set I posted about...Yeah, it was $10 more than what I paid for the cutter itself there.

I've smoked one macanudo and my opinion is they are bland and extremely over priced.

Just save them for when your friends see you smoking, and ask if they can have a cigar. I have some Punch Champions that I bought exactly for that reason.
