I wrote this because I recieved the following message from a member welcoming me and I assumed someone was bashing me in 1 of my 2 posts. "it seems as if a couple guys should get their heads out of their asses....sorry for their rudeness....welcome!"

I just wrote this in general in case someone was bashing me on my other thread. From the PM I got it seemed liek someone was bashing me. I just didnt read it yet.

As far as me posting my pic. Someone in one of the first responses asked me what I meant by someone not saying something to my face offline. I didnt know what to say here. If I said because I would whoop their asss, that would sound stupid and make me look like an idiot. But I couldnt just not answer the question. So I thought posting my picture would say it all. Maybe not the best move but it was all I could think of at the moment. I didnt want to respond either way but my only option was one or the other in my opinion. I am on a few other forums. One being a 420 forum (if you know what that means) and their is a ton of bashing that goes on. I never take part in bashing so this time I felt I would explain my thoughts right from the get go. Most of it stemmed from that PM that I recieved. Ok I did my best to explain.

Chugg - things get escalated too fast in the internet. It's time to be the better man and just let things die down. If you noticed Kevin7 welcomed you in your original thread. And you just construed his response to this thread as attacking. That's quite fine, but look how much nicer people responded to your "intro thread", the same people that are responding negatively in this one. This is a tight-nit cigar community, you won't find any better anywhere. People will defend the FOGs, BOTLs and SOTLs if they feel some new guy is being aggressive towards them.

If you don't stop now, it'll end up as a lose/lose for you. You will learn a lot from this community, and as you read on, you will find out each person's personality and learn some are more aggressive than others, BUT they really are good people.

Just walk away from this thread, if possible, I'd rather have this thread closed. Contribute and you will end up winning in the end.

Sorry, we don't close or delete threads here. If you couldn't tell already, we are a member moderated community. You have quite a hole dug for yourself to climb out of. It is not going to be easy, but if you really want to stick around, it is doable.

my suggestion, since usually the threads are left the way they are, would be to post one last time in this thread. In that post write a straight up apology, without conditions or explanations, and then just leave it at that and try to contribute positively in the future without aggression or threats. There is bound to be further posts here including attacks (both from people posting before reading every single page, or knee jerk reactions, or continuations) but just be the bigger man once you post an apology and let it drop.

If you are serious about some of your more positive remarks elsewhere in regards to learning and contributing that is the only way to move forward. Some people won't let it go, many others will give you a chance if you take this step. You're call, good luck either way.

What you resally need to do at this point is sit back and really think about some of the things you have said and come up with a really good apology to everyone, especially the people you have insulted and cursed at personally....

Remember, This is our home. We have helped to create what we like to think is a safe environment for BOTLs to share their experience and knowledge of the leaf.

You got what is expected..... no way are any of us gonna let ANYONE come in here and flex their muscles..... no matter how big.
