    Default Newbie From TN.

Hey, folks. I'm Sean from Chattanooga, TN. Let's see. I've been smoking cigars for a little over a year now and I'm learning more & more about the lifestyle every day. After lurking for a few weeks, I decided to go ahead and join the discussion groups. Why not? Here's a little more about myself:

Again, name's Sean. I'm 23-years old. I work as an internet podcaster for the Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper. Basically, I take news that has already been written, re-write it for radio, then read and it and post it on the internet. I previously worked, and still fill-in sometimes, at Chattanooga's local NPR affiliate. I attended college at the University of Tennessee @ Chattanooga, majoring in Communications/English. Other passions include guitars, comedy and obscure teas. If I find the perfect tea/cigar combination, I'll let you know.

I'm diggin', for lack of a better word, the lifestyle of the cigar smoker. I hope to be an asset to the forum or, at the very least, a keen observer and absorber of cigar wisdom.

I own two humidors: a 150-count and a 25-count traveler. Let's peek inside, shall we:

    150 count:

    Rocky Patel Vintage Churchills 90'
    Rocky Patel Vintage 2nds
    Ghurkha (sic) Ancient Warriors
    Don Kiki Brown Labels
    Royal Jamaican Churchills
    Partagas Naturales
    St. Luis Rey Rothchildes (maduro)
    The Edge -- a few maddie's and Nat's.
Sancho Panza DBL. Maduro Quixotes (pretty tasty after a few months)
    Bahia Gold Toros
    C.E. Beck's, various sizes
    Arturo Fuente Maduro Sampler
    Punch Gran Cru Double Coronas

    25-count:

    Between 10-15 Solo Cafe Coronas
    Tatiana Rum & Vanilla Coronas
Acid Kuba Kuba (...can't give em' away. hmm.)
...a bunch of flavored cigarellos...mainly of the Tatiana variety.

    Thanks,
    Sean Phipps

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown

    WELCOME FROM BINGHAMTON, NY !!!!!!!
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

Welcome from CT X2. Very nice intro, you have history in writing?
"No one can tell me what is a good cigar -- for me. I am the only judge. There are no standards -- no real standards. Each man's preference is the only standard for him, the only one which he can accept, the only one which can command him."

    welcome.

I enjoy tea and drink several cups a day, usually of green and white. But tea with cigars? Never seemed like a good combination...

Welcome from the great state of Texas!! That was one helluva intro!! To all the lurkers out there, see, there is some value to lurking a while on any board you're interested in joining, cause you'll learn a thing or two before you start posting.
