Your on your way with the cigars.... let them sit for a while and see how they are.... about 2 weeks.

As for the mold... I wouldn't have wiped it down with alcohol... but I could be wrong.

You are gonna want to get some beads.... http://www.cigarmony.com/store/index...d919dc96f39bbc

The mold comes from a high RH... the beads will prevent the RH from getting to high.
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

Not sure about the alcohol thing as well, though I recall reading that somewhere but personally I would wipe out the mold off the humidor, whipe down the affected sticks and move em out. then let the humidor dry out a little and give it another whipe this time with a mix of distilled water and a tiny bit of anti-bacterial dish soap. Then season as per the Herfer's guide after that dries down again. Also, get the beads mentioned or the one Mark offers from cigarmony.com. I use the beads myself but have heard good things about the other as well.

Like Blkcloud and Monk said, I don't think using alcohol was a wise thing. It might do something to the cedar. All I know is, the only thing you can wipe in your humidor is distilled water, everything else can stain or do something horrible to the wood.

Make sure your temperature in your room doesn't go above 75 degrees. The higher the temperature, the more moisture in the air. Most likely, it was too hot and there was too much moisture in your Humi, so much that your humidification system couldn't even prevent it (or you put too much distilled water for the solution or the beads to soak excess moisture). Once temperatures reach above 75 degrees, your humidification system will not work as efficiently as a cooler temperature. You may want to get beads also, if you are not already using it. Good luck.
