    Default Some Great Medical News.

I had my annual Medical this morning, and here's the results:

    • BP - 113 / 67
    • Heart Rate - 58 BPM
    • Pulmonary - 179% for a person my age, height & weight
    • EKG - Perfect
    • Hearing - great
    • Eyesight - Generally good, but crap for close-up.
    • Bloodwork - Won't get these results 'till tomorrow, but no history, so with the past 9-10 months of healthy eating, I don't forsee any issues.
    • Weight - down 80 lbs from last year

Just thought I'd share this. I'm pretty proud of it.

One note is my lung capacity after many, many years of horrible ciggys, and now indulging in cigars & pipes as my smoke of choice.

I think I'll go home and have an Expresso, a Cappucino and an Opus #5 for lunch to celebrate!!!!

There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

That sounds great Jim. It's certainly something to be proud of. Down 80 lbs., that's definitely cause for some celebratin'. I need to go in for a physical to know where I'm at as well. My pops ain't doing so well lately and it's making me have a different perspective on things. One thing that I've come to realize lately is that you not only owe to yourself to try to be as healthy as possible. You also owe it to your family. My mom is a wreck right now.

Almost no booze or beer, joined Weight Watchers, plenty of exercise (mostly walking), and enough lettuce and vegetables to make me grow long ears and a little fuzzy tail!!!!

    Congratulations on the clean bill!
That reminds me I should go in for the uh, over-all-physical. I need a doc with small hands for this visit.

    Keep up the good work.

I'm on the run to failure maintenance progam myself .
In spite of all evidence to the contrary, the entire universe is composed of only two basic substances: Magic and bullshit.

I am at the age where you have to get used to the "Magic Finger Trick" myself, but now there's a blood test that will detect 99% of Prostate issues (according to the Medical Professional who did my medical).

Thanks all for the 'Grats and good wishes.

I got the results of the blood work today and all is wonderful. Only thing is the "good" cholesterol is 0.1 or something low. The Vet said nothing to worry about as the "Total" reading is awesome.

I told the Bride at supper that since the doc said I now have medical readings close to a teenager, I'm ready to start over at 19 again.

    She called me an asshole!!!!
