    Default Trunkador part 2

Well sorry Chef I stole your idea.

Here is the one I just made, but I give you all the credit for the idea.
Just a note. If you plan on making one of these get a quality made trunk. The trunk I got was a cheapy from Hobby Lobby and was bowed and warped in some spots that made it a little tuff to seal up but I got it.

Wasn't a whole lot of work. More time letting the glue dry than anything. Had 10 hours in it maybe

    Default Nice trunk

Great looking trunk man, I am very jealous. It looked like Chris used a foam separator to attach the cedar; did you use the same approach? I would guess the foam barrier would assist in ensuring the walls were plum as the foam would provide some give. How hard was it to get a good seal? Would love any specifics you are willing to provide.

I just glued everything to the insides. Used Gorilla glue to do it. Half way thru I ran out and used Elmers Ultimate Glue. I would use this in the future b/c it doesn't expand as much as the Gorilla glue. You could also use Titebond III wood glue. Had to use some staples because the box was warpped a bit. Make sure you buy a good trunk this would of made things easier. I made the seal on the lid like a regular humidor. The wood on the lid slips into the top of the trunk. just a little sandding to make it tight. If you are going to make one, make sure you got lots of clamps to hold the pieces while the glue sets up.
