Hey everyone,
I just recently won an auction for a box of 10 Oliva Serie O Robusto Tubos from cigarauctioneer. They came in the mail today. I havn't smoked one yet, but I will either tonight or tomorrow and I'll post a review. I'll keep you posted.
Well today was the day. We had a dinner commemorating Henry O. Flipper, the first African American West Point Graduate, whose rank and awards were denied him until 100 years after. After the dinner I went to the smoking pit and had the cigar.
The tube is lined with what looks and smells like cedar. I took out the cigar and gave it a quick smell. It smelled great. I can't really describe the smell as far as "leathery mix of eath tones and a dash of corriander" type descriptions go, but it smelled good.
I cut it and lit it. Nice even burn.
The draw was smooth until it started toward the 3rd quarter. At that point it was tight in spots. I had to tug at it but the majority of the cigar was a really smooth draw. It tasted great as well.
Despite the slightly tight draw at times, I absolutely loved this cigar. I will definately be getting more of these (after I go through the 9 I have left).
Nice review,Oliva seems to make very good cigars throughout their whole range of offerings
The older I get ,the better I was
Thanks. I'm glad my first review went over well.
I will definately be exploring the rest of the brand in the future.
