    Default Duty Free

Some of my friends are going to Cuba soon and being good friends hey offered to pick me up some cigars. However, my brother was just there in December and he said he got a better deal at duty free at the airport than around his hotel. Plus I'm going to Dominican soon, so if duty free is just as good I can get them myself. I have no idea if duty free is different in each country though.
So, basically what I'm trying to figure out is if I'm better off getting cigars myself from Dominican, or from duty free or having my friends get me some in Cuba.
Man I hope this is making sense...

Yes, Duty Free at the airports in Cuba is cheaper, but the selection in the 2 airports I've been through (Santiago & Camaguey) is crap, and the humi in Camaguey was a shopping cart (no shit) behind the Duty Free Counter.

I can't speak for the Dominican as I've never been, but a friend told me ISOMs were expensive there.

Are dominican cigars (like cohibas, MC and RYJ) just as good as their cuban siblings?

    I agree with Drew.

Now, if you had asked about Dominican cigars in general, there are some that are as good as many ISOMs.

Most Dominican cigars are made in a free trade zone and are not for sale in the Dominican Republic generally. Beware of Cuban cigars in the DR as the place is full of fakes. From where I live in North Carolina is is alawys better for me to bring my own smokes on vacation. I saw somwe terrible shittyy fakes last time I was in the Bahamas and the one genuine retailer was infested with Beetles

I have heard the cigars in DR are kind of expensive, however compared to the prices found in Canada I don't think they'll be too bad. I'm going to try and go on a factory tour.
I don't really trust the girls I know that are going to cuba to get some quality cigars.
