  1. Default Little Fonseca, big enjoyment!

Yesterday morning before service I found myself with a bit of time and a hankering for a cigar. Sid's package offered just the thing, a little cedar wrapped Fonseca Torp. Initial inspection revealed a smooth, nicely constructed cigar with a rich brown wrapper. Burn was perfect, and the volume of smoke impressive. I would rate this a solid medium smoke, which went very well with my after breakfast coffee. As I reached the halfway mark it became a fairly powerful smoke, but never overbearing. I found this to be an excellent cigar.

    Nice review Pastor.....

Welcome to CigarSmokers..... give us an introduction and tell us about yourself
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

I'll let Jack do his own intro but I will say he is a good dude and I like him. I have traded with him and look forward to seeing him here.

If by traded Kevin means that I have sent him a meager handful of cigars and he has then proceeded to blow up my mailbox and give my letter carrier a hernia, then yes, we've traded!

Kevin's still trying to trade his way to heaven, eh?

If God smokes cigars, he's a shoe-in. Ya got good references!

Now there's a coincidence. I haven't had time to sit down with a good cigar in a couple of months. But yesterday we had a nice warm day. My wife and I took the dog out for a hike in the American River canyon. We picked up some steaks on the way home and sat out on the deck with a martini to watch the sunset.

I thought, "This is a perfect time for a cigar"

By pure chance, I ended up choosing a Fonesca. It was a small ring gauge cigar that was probably only 5 1/2" long. Yeah, it was a good cigar. I really enjoyed it.

I haven't had a cigar in a while so I didn't feel like having a strong cigar or a heavy maduro. This cigar was exactly what I needed. I noticed more of a nicotine hit than I'm use to, but it was a pleasant side effect withe the vodka martini I was having. It started out mellow but the flavors really got good about half way down. I smoked it almost to the last inch before it strted getting harsh.

Yeah, that little Fonesca was a darn good cigar.
