Default Homemade Tubo Humi Bead Holders

I was staring at my collection of empty cigar aluminum tubes, and wondered if I could do something with them. I graped my cutter start making tiny slits on one, and dumped some beads into it. I have two of these in my 40 count desktop, and they've been working wonderfully. They look much better the empty puck I kept the beads in before. Can anyone see a problem with turning tubos into humi devices? Do aluminum rust?

aluminum Shouldn't rust. I couldn't see a problem with it as long as the slits are thin enough.

I would guess the only down side is having to open the humitube to visually check the wetness of the beads.

Yea, I've already came across that. The bead have to be taken to be charged.

yup, after reading that post a few months back i sent basil a pm to see if he had any extra empty tubes. he sent me two WITH beads and some very nice sticks. They work fine, I use them in my travel humi. No problems yet.

    Thanks again, Basil.

This is a good idea, I'll have to try it. (Still mad about my stolen smokes )
