    Default My new Fire Pit!

As some of you know, we just finished moving from one house to another on the same base. They are tearing down the house we were in that was built in '51. So the military moved me into a house that was build only 3 years ago!

Since I smoke in the back yard, the wife was nice enough to let me get a Fire Pit for our back yard.

Today, I got to lite this bad boy and to celebrate, I'm having a nice CAO Italia with a cool Lone Star Beer.

Here is the veiw looking at the fire pit. My son is sitting in the chair.

Here is another veiw from my smoking chair and laptop that I have up when I smoke.

I dream of the day when I have a back yard with a fire pit! Awesome!
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown

It's dads beer. However, son proved today that when I ask him to get me a beer, he know's what to get.

Very cool! I love smoking around mine, but it is smaller. That thing looks like it could let off some serious heat.

Very nice fire pit. Mine is the open top kind(cheapo) and the heat output is weak.

Cool man! I'm in the market to get a firepit for the coming warmer seasons. How do you find the heat from that thing?

That's what it's all about right there. Nice pics, give the wee man a coat hanger and some marshmallows.

Nice job. A fire pit is a nice option when the weather gets a little colder.

Nice setup you got there, I'm envious!

I cant wait till I get out of school and into a real house with a nice porch and backyard. Going to get a chimenea, I like them better, a bit more sheltered from the wind and the heat is mostly directed out the one opening. But it does restrict the size of the fire you can have more.
