gel jar

Has anyone used those humidifier jars? I know most guys here love beads, but i have yet to make the descision and would like to try the jars.

I use them in the cooler I keep in the basement for long term stuff. They work well. My basement stays pretty cool, around 58 degrees in the winter, so I keep four in there and the RH stays right about 71. Higher than I want for something I'm going to smoke but fine at that temp for long term stuff. Too cold for bugs.
The thing I like the most is I only need to add distilled water about once a month or more. I open the cooler just to look or to pull one out to move to the desk top to dry every couple of weeks.

I use beads in the desk top humi where I keep my "ready to smoke" cigars.

I use gel and have good results with it. I am not anal retentive about humidity so the gel keeps it between
62 -68% RH. I use distilled water with it so you dont end up with a biology experement growing in it
