Thread: Kidney's

    Question Kidney's

On the off chance that someone may have had this problem.........three weeks ago I was playing cards until 3AM and I noticed that my kidney's were getting more tender as the night and morning progressed. Being a jarhead, I dismissed it as entirely to much laughter. It caused me to leave work early on three different occasions and take days off and lay in bed for two others. So far, I've had a cat-scan but nothing was found. I've dismissed stones and the big C (as I've had a battle and fortunately won in the past). To have the doc tell me they found nothing in the scan as they are still tender is frustrating. I am better but, still concerned. My blood work hasn't come back yet so, I'm just waiting with frustration.

I'm sorry to hear. Definitely keep us posted on the labs. Kidney issues scare me greatly.

I had gallstones before and that was a scary time and very odd feeling. Hope you find out what's wrong and it's a simple solution!

Thanks guys!!! I don't do vitamins and supplements. I do however eat thre pills and four pills alternating days peerscribed by my doc. At 47, I'm sure you can guess what they are.

It might be a kidney infection. I've had them before and it can feel like mild back pain. My buddy, who is a doctor, told me to flush them with cranberry juice or take cranberry pills that you can get from a health food store. It sounds bad, but drink about a gallon a day for 3 or 4 days. You[ll get sick of the taste and be pissin' like a race horse but it does a great job of flushing the kidneys.

    It can't hurt.

Hope you get well soon, and it is nothing serious.

Go see a nephrologist. And always take this fact for comfort, you have ten times the kidney function you need. They make make you do some piss tests for Free Water Clearance and Glomerular Filtration Rate. Keep us updated.
