Thread: Best Cigars

  1. Default Best Cigars

    Hey Guys and Ladies,
Im looking for some good cigars that smell real good and be the best buck for the money you know what im saying?...I like black and milds the flavored kind I went to the grand casino couple of months ago a guy at the cigar store gave me one for free to try out...it smelt really good and wasnt strong at all the name of the cigar was called a cuban..Any help would be appreciated. Thanks LilRichKid

  2. Wink Cohiba

My favorite cigar is a Cuban Montecristo No. 2. I can only enjoy these when in my house in the Dominican Republic. However, I love Dominican Cohibas. They are great smokes and there is very little signifigant difference between a Cuban Cohiba, and a Dominican Cohiba. Dominican Cigars are the best for me because they are the most fresh. I could tell you just started smoking because you're talking about black & mild. Those are machine made. Son, if you want to be a connesuer, (sorry for the sloppy spelling) stop smoking machine rolled cigars. There are tons of Cigar websites, look around see what sounds good to you, and then give them a try.

    Hi,

My first ever cigar was a Cohiba (cuban) Panatelas. An absolute delight. I then move on the the Siglo series (1 to 6) and have never ever been dissapointed. Whilst slightly more expensive perhaps than other makes you will not regret it! Enjoy!

  4. Default Cohiba

I was reading an interview from 1994 with Fidel Castro, did you know that Cohiba was founded part by him? What happened was, Castro's bodyguard was smoking a cigar that smelled good to Castro. Castro asked him where he got that cigar from and the bodyguard took him to a friend who made his own cigars. Castro had a factory built and they named the brand Cohiba, since that is what the Natives call cigars. That also explains the head on the box.

    Hi,

I think that the smell of a cigar is a very subjective affair. A non smoker will almost always tell you that "a cigar stinks". Regardless of type or make of cigars.

Now, there is in my mind nothing you can do about this type of comment other than go outside to enjoy your smoke.

Having said that cigar smokers will be able to differentiate between a good and a bad smell. I can't imagine any cigar smoker ever telling you that a Cohiba, Montecristo or Romeo & julieta "stinks". Stick with well known brands and you will be fine.

    Hi Nick!

Thanks for the accolade ! However you just got me worried here for a second as there may be another cohibanut around!!!!! Which other forum are you thinking about? I've only started posting under this name when I joined this particular forum. Do you mean other threads on this forum?

I can't possibly imagine another Cohibanut lurking anywhere though. If there is I'll have to challenge him/her to a smoking competition!!!!

On a different note it is quite strange for me to post on this particular forum. As I live in London I have to read all the threads in the morning when you lot are all asleep! I then have to wait 24hr to read up on the new stuff that appeared when I was asleep!!!!

I think I may start a new thread around this topic actually....Let's call it...... "Where are we all from". Here we go.....

Sounds like you need to recruit some fellow British cigar smokers to come join you while we are all asleep

Will do as soon as I can find some! It can be quite difficult to find fellow afficionados actually.
