Thread: Your coffee matters

  1. Default Your coffee matters

Did you know that there are 4 (so-called "big four") multi-national roasting companies people responsible for that stuff in the supermarket?

Kraft, P&G, Sara Lee and Nestle

Begin to take a look at that cup on our desk with a mindful attitude.

For those of you who do not home roast, when you plink down your hard earned money to buy your roasted coffee, check these companies out:

    Intelligentsia
    Doma
    Stumptown
    Counterculture Coffee
    Taylor Maid Farms
    Oren's Daily Roast

You home roasters have an awesome list of folks you buy your green from:

    Coffee Bean Corral
    Sweet Marias
    Coffee Co-op
    Cates Green Coffee

Be well, savor your cup. Hopefully with some great company. And a fine puro.

I also have some important connections with Sara Lee. You know they are so big because they make a decent product, they just do it on a larger scale, hence they are big.
The "big 4" have pretty good stuff, and some of the best gourmet chefs working on their other recipes. As for my house, it is nearly all Gevalia.

Don't forget to also check out Jerry's Killer Beans. He sure brews a mean bean.

I have family and friends in 3 of the big four. The purpose of this post was to show you as with anything, if you don't like your coffee, you have choices.

I dont home brew much, but good info. There arent really any good coffee shops around me besides Starbucks. I will have to try some killer beans, everyone talks about them.
