I'd be a little easy on them and instead look at your goverments fucked up taxation structure. Why should a retailer have to jump through 13 hoops just to sell to Canadians. Do you think THEY should pay the 150% tax on cigars ? Face it Canada is a fucked up place taxwise, even mpre fucked up than the USA

Actually it appears they will ship to Canada. Unless you have asked and were told otherwise.

I ordered a batch of these myself.
I'm interested as an experiment to see if
    a) Aussie customs picks it up
    and
    b) what the fedex charge will actually be.

it seemed like a pretty good selection for the price so I am fairly hopeful, even if the fedex charge winds up being a little excessive, I think it will cover the cost of the sampler pack.

I phoned the guy yesterday and spoke to him on the phone. I simply asked "do you ship to Canada?" Ane he bluntly answered no. He said no because of a lot of the reasons listed in your info from their website. He said they have had packages that get stopped by Canada customs and the customer refuses to pay the taxes due. He said when that happens sometimes the shipment will be destroyed. So anyways I got it straight from the horses mouth. I do fing these American cigar sellers a little strange whn it comes to shipping to Canada. I buy off of another supplier who at first told me that they were not taking anymore customers in Canada, so who knows.

Relax brother. I am not mad at Americans. I like Americans. I spend lots of time down there. Vancouver Canada has tonnes of Washington state money and people up here all the time. Anyhow, the problem is that some numbskull screwed these guys on a shipment and they don't want to get burned again which I can understand. But I would not do that to them. But they don't know me from crap so how does one know? That is the problem.

Thanks for the heads up Kevin. Just ordered two .

I've never ordered from these guys before so it'll be interesting to see how it works out, shipping and customs etc.

    Cheers

    Thumbs up

Got my order in. Thanks. Never heard of the Hirsh before. I think it was $31 something with shipping to SC. Don't think you could ever get those as singles for any $30. And no light wrappers either.

Actually I wasn't meaning to sound like I am on your ass bigsmoke, sorry about that I trade with a Swedish BOTL a lot and have never had a package opened. If he had to pay a duty coming from the US it is smoething like 58 cents a cigar from an individual. Both of our Goverments are fucked in the head about tobacco taxes

Yes Canadian tobacco taxes do suck, so does customs. I think almost every package, cigars or not, that has a value of more than $30-$40 gets opened. And if it is cigars in the package the charge is usually almost, if not more, than the value.
