Default 1st Review - La Aurora Gold 1903

Lit pretty well & evened out. 1st third was sorta sour & stale. Not impressed.
    • Middle mellowed a little and gave a brief hint of black licorice and smokey peat. Then just strong tobacco and I actually got a little light headed.
      • Last third gave a piney flavor before becoming very strong and burning my lips and tongue. Not fire burn, but heat burn like a pepper. Mellowed again as I went on to nub it.
        • $15 was expensive for a little preferidos, but what an experience. I felt sorta beat down afterwards and did not smoke anything strong the rest of the day.
          • Check how the vein refused to burn, but the filler and binder did fine and the ash held on beyond the band.
The gold is a Corojo. I would like to try a red Maduro some day. More info on this cigar herehttp://www.cigar.com/cigars/viewcigar.asp?brand=333

you can get them with out the tube and they are cheaper, but $15 for a tubo is a good price.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown
